Donate your Clothes and Create #AasraSukoonKa

Winters can be beautiful if you are sitting cosy in your bed, feeling the warmth of your quilt and a cup of ginger tea. However, this heavenly feeling is not the destiny of everyone. Some people don’t even have enough clothes to wear and keep themselves warm. Winters become harsher when spine chilling breeze leaves someone shivering. In a city like Delhi that welcomes thousands of new individuals every day, the number of homeless is comparatively high. These people need shelter, clothes and food to save their lives.

During winters, homeless people have nowhere to go. Even if they somehow reach shelter homes, they hardly have clothes to keep themselves warm. In these conditions, many people scramble to find rags, newspapers and gently used coats to keep themselves warm. If they don’t get anything, they find themselves fighting with natural elements and finally giving up to the nature. Frostbite, hypothermia, and dehydration surround these people. They face the risk of death almost every day.
As a human being, we can show some humanity and contribute to creating a comfortable environment for homeless. With our combined efforts and some care, homeless in Delhi NCR would get relief from the harsh winters.

We all have some clothes that we don’t wear much or have simply ignored. Shirts, sweaters, old blankets, denims which do not fit and something else which is not of much use – are usually left untouched. These clothes could be a reason of someone else’s smile and comfort. So, the kind deed of giving away the clothes to homeless will comfort someone. Donate your clothes with NGO Sofia and you can contribute to their #AasraSukoonKa campaign. Nothing can match the happiness of helping someone.
